1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the website and photo digitisation services provided by Memory Box Brisbane ("we", "us", "our"). By requesting a quote, accepting an estimate, or using our services, you ("the customer", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Services

We provide photo digitisation services including the scanning of prints, negatives, slides and albums, and the return of digital files to the customer. The scope of each job is defined by the estimate quote accepted by the customer.

3. Quotes & Estimates

Estimates provided through our online questionnaire are a guide only, based on the information supplied by the customer. A final confirmed price is provided once we have received and inspected your materials. We will contact you before proceeding if the final price differs materially from the estimate.

4. Deposits & Payment

A 50% deposit is required before work commences. Payment is made by bank transfer to the account details shown on your estimate page, using the unique reference provided. The balance is due upon completion, prior to delivery of the digital files. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued.

5. Collection & Return of Materials

We arrange collection of your materials from your nominated address within our service areas. All reasonable care is taken while your materials are in our possession; however, we recommend retaining a backup of any irreplaceable items where possible. Original materials are returned with your completed digital files.

6. Turnaround Time

Indicative turnaround times are provided at the time of quoting. Actual turnaround may vary depending on the volume and condition of materials. We will keep you informed of progress via the order tracking page.

7. Digital Files & Storage

Completed digital files are delivered electronically. We may retain a temporary copy of your files for a limited period after delivery as a safeguard; we will delete these files upon your written request or after a reasonable period has elapsed.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage to materials is limited to the cost of the scanning service provided. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our services. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

You may cancel your order before work has commenced. Deposits are refundable less a reasonable handling fee. Once scanning has begun, deposits are non-refundable. Refunds for incomplete work are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date shown above.
